OpenClaw Connector Plugin Guide
Follow these steps to install and configure the AgoraMaven OpenClaw connector for email and LinkedIn delivery.
Introduction
This is a connector plugin that helps you seamlessly connect your AgoraMaven workspace with your own OpenClaw installation. This guide provides a full walkthrough for setting up email, social inbox syncing, and LinkedIn publishing.
Video Walkthrough
Watch the video below for a complete step-by-step visual guide on installing and configuring the connector.
Prerequisites: Node and OpenClaw
This guide assumes that you already have Node.js and OpenClaw installed on your machine. You must use compatible versions:
- Node.js: v24.15.0 or later (in the v24 LTS line).
- OpenClaw: v2026.7.1 or later.
Check your currently active versions in your terminal:
node --version
openclaw --version
If you use nvm on Mac/Linux or nvm-windows on Windows, run the following to upgrade and set the default:
nvm install 24.15.0
nvm use 24.15.0
nvm alias default 24.15.0
npm install -g openclaw@latest
nvm install 24.15.0
nvm use 24.15.0
npm install -g openclaw@latest
Verify that the openclaw command now correctly resolves from the updated Node installation. If you receive an error, close and reopen your terminal:
which node
which openclaw
where node
where openclaw
If you do not have OpenClaw installed yet, please visit https://openclaw.ai/ to install it, then return to this guide.
Get Plugin
Download the AgoraMaven Connector plugin package below and save it to your Downloads folder on your computer.
Installation
Open your terminal and install the plugin from your Downloads folder using the command below. Select your operating system to see the correct command:
openclaw plugins install npm-pack:~/Downloads/agoramaven-connector-0.6.10.tgz
openclaw plugins install npm-pack:%USERPROFILE%\Downloads\agoramaven-connector-0.6.10.tgz
Get Token
Go to your project settings in AgoraMaven, navigate to the Developer / API tab, and generate a New Token. You will need this token to link your OpenClaw installation with this project.
Final Setup
Run the setup wizard to complete the configuration. When prompted, paste the token you generated in the previous step.
openclaw agoramaven setup
Then restart the gateway to apply changes:
openclaw gateway restart
Browser and LinkedIn Workflows
The AgoraMaven Chrome extension is included in the connector download. Do not download it separately. To configure it for LinkedIn publishing and social messaging, run the browser setup command:
openclaw agoramaven browser setup
This command will automatically extract the browser extension to a stable folder on your computer and generate your unique pairing configuration.
- Open Google Chrome.
- Navigate to
chrome://extensions. - Turn on Developer mode in the top right corner.
- Click Load unpacked and select the directory that was generated (usually
~/.openclaw/agoramaven-extension). - Open the newly added OpenClaw extension popup. If prompted, paste the pairing string displayed in your terminal. The pairing string is a private local secret. Do not share it.
- Open a new tab, sign in to LinkedIn, open the OpenClaw extension popup again, and select Share this tab with OpenClaw.
You can verify everything is connected properly by running a live test:
openclaw agoramaven browser test
Once the test is successful, you can use the Workflows → LinkedIn page in AgoraMaven to publish posts directly through your signed-in browser tab.
Uninstall (Optional)
If you previously had an older local version of the plugin installed, you should remove it to prevent conflicts.
openclaw plugins uninstall agoramaven-connector
Troubleshooting
Browser Extension Not Connected or Tab Not Shared
If the browser extension shows "Not connected" or your LinkedIn tab is not appearing in the connection test, you can run some manual diagnostic commands.
To generate a fresh local pairing string to paste into the extension popup:
openclaw browser extension pair
To confirm that OpenClaw sees your shared LinkedIn tab, run the low-level tab diagnostic:
openclaw browser tabs --browser-profile chrome
The output should list Feed | LinkedIn. If it does not, open LinkedIn, sign in, open the extension popup again, and click Share this tab with OpenClaw.
"Unsupported state or unable to authenticate data"
If you receive this error during the openclaw agoramaven setup connection test, it usually means you are using a new setup token, but the plugin is trying to read an older configuration cache encrypted with a previous token. To resolve this, clear the cached state file and rerun the setup.
rm ~/.openclaw/agoramaven-connector/state.enc.json*
del /q %USERPROFILE%\.openclaw\agoramaven-connector\state.enc.json*
After running this command, run openclaw agoramaven setup again.
